Cool and Green and Shady/ Country Roads

I bet your pain free, "Happy Place" is not in a noisy, stinky, crowded city. Where can you go to reset your psyche?

/////////////////////////////

We shall never achieve harmony with the land, anymore than we shall achieve absolute justice or liberty for people. In these higher aspirations the important thing is not to achieve but to strive.”
― Aldo Leopold, Round River

Cool and Green and Shady (Excerpt)

Find yourself a piece of grassy ground
Lay down, close your eyes
Find yourself and maybe lose yourself
While your free spirit flies

August skies, lullabys, promises to keep
Dandelions and twisting vines, Clover at your feet
Memories of Aspen leaves, trembling on the wind
Honeybees and fantasies
Where to start again
Someplace cool and green and shady

Country Roads (Excerpts)

Almost heaven, West Virginia
 Blue Ridge Mountains, Shenandoah  River
Life is older there, older than the trees, younger than the mountains
growin’ like a breeze

Country roads take me home, to the place I belong
 West Virginia, Mountain Mama,
 Take me home Country roads

All my memories gather ‘round her,
Miner’s lady, stranger to blue waters,
Dark and dusty, painted on the sky,
Misty taste of  Moonshine, teardrops in my eyes
